We are a 'full primary' with students between Years 1 and 8, who all combine to create a supportive, family learning environment. The senior students of the school play a major part in a number of sporting and cultural activities throughout the year, and interact very positively with the younger pupils.
Good education does not happen accidentally. Everyone at school has a passion for being the best that they can be. We all work very hard to ensure that our school provides the best education possible for the children.
At Puketapu School children start school according to a cohort entry timetable that the Ministry of Education sets. Cohort Entry is when new entrant children start school in groups through the year rather than on their fifth birthday. There are two entry points per term, one on the first day of term, and one at a mid-point during a term. When you enrol your child at Puketapu School the New Entrant Teacher will contact you to discuss visits and confirm their start date.
