General Information

I have been lucky enough to teach a variety of ages in my 9 years teaching at Puketapu School, from New Entrant to Year 8. A particular strength of the school is it's fantastic community who, along with the teachers, support and nuture the children. I consider myself very fortunate to teach at this school. I teach one day a week in the New Entrant class and absolutely love this age group. They are honest, challenging and enthusiastic to learn. I also release teachers in the junior school throughout the term.

Frances Ellison
Frances
Role

Teacher - Room 2 (Year 1/2)

Qualification

Bachelor of Education

General Information

I trained at Palmerston North Teachers College many years ago. Since then I have taught in a variety of schools and covered many age groups. While teaching in London I completed a diploma in educational computer studies complementing my teaching diploma. I have now furthered my education and completed my B.Ed.
I love teaching children to learn how to learn! Children who have a challenge to solve seem to be more motivated and stimulated. At Puketapu they are encouraged to support each other in their learning, children are encouraged to stretch themselves to reach their potential. Puketapu children are a pleasure to teach and it is a privilege to be here.
